Wellington Cathedral – a sacred space of worship, hospitality and education
Welcome to Wellington Cathedral, in the Anglican Diocese of Wellington. Situated within the parliamentary precinct of New Zealand’s capital city, we are a vibrant and diverse community of people drawn together to worship God through fine liturgy, good music, stimulating preaching and a sense of belonging. We invite you to explore our sacred space.
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm
Saturday 10am – 4pm
Welcome! Naumai, haere mai! Ni sa bula vinaka!
Our older and younger saints at the Wellington Cathedral of St Paul answer some deep and meaningful questions.

We need YOU to come and join in with some well-known hymns for a Diocesan Hymn Sing on Wednesday 16 September at 7.00pm at Wellington Cathedral of St Paul. TVNZ’s Praise Be programme is coming along to record for a later broadcast. There is a rehearsal on Sunday 13 September from 2-4pm. Refreshments will be provided after this rehearsal – and it’d be wonderful if you could stay to enjoy Evensong at 5pm! We really want to fill the Cathedral for this event, so do come along and encourage friends and family! Please contact the cathedral office for more information.
Jazz Mass – Sunday 27 September, 10am
